Following graduation from Aston University in 1995, Simon went to work for the family business. Originally an importer and wholesaler of fashion silver, the family rapidly expanded into retail and when his parents retired in 2004 Simon moved into the fine jewellery business.
Simon and his wife won the much coveted ‘Independent Retailer of the Year’ Award in 2007 just 3 years later and have been a regular feature in the Inspiring Independents, Hot 100, Power Buyers lists since then.
Always an advocate of excellence in staff training and engagement all of his team have been through numerous JET, Gem-A, GIA and NAJ courses. He was asked to join the NAG board in 2010 and was instrumental as Vice Chairman in the unification process that created the National Association of Jewellers in 2015.
He’s been Chairman of the NAJ since June 2016 and has since then created a vibrant exciting new National Committee that is pushing forward with some key programmes that will assist the whole trade secure a better future.
